Pastor Dominick and Joyce Avello
Founders and Overseers
Cornerstone Church was founded in 1988 by Pastors Dom and Joyce Avello in South Florida! After earning their teaching degrees at the University of West Florida and teaching in the public school system for many years, they were called into ministry, pastoring Cornerstone Church. being parents of 6 children, their love for children and teaching led them to establish and oversee Cornerstone Christian Academy, a school with over 100 children! In 2006, they were led to move to Tennessee to plant a sister church with a hope of seeing the next generation walking in the love and power of Jesus.

The NET Preschool was born out of that very vision! It is their heart's desire to express their love and appreciation to all of our NET families and dedicated staff for the excellence they exemplify in making the NET one of the best!

Christa Lanford
Preschool Director
Hello NET Preschool Parents! My name is Christa Lanford, and I am your new Preschool Director. My husband Josh have three adult children, Victoria Joy, Caleb, Noah and our baby pup, Lily! I graduated from Liberty University with a bachelor’s in business administration. In July of 2021, I was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel. The NET preschool is a vision that my parents had over 20 years ago and being able to continue that vision is something that I value and strive to do with wisdom and excellence! Thank you for entrusting us with the care of your babies. It is both an honor and a privilege to me!
Victoria Joy Lanford
Assistant Preschool Director
Hello Parents! My name is Victoria Joy. I have been at the NET Preschool for almost 5 years now and I have loved every second of it! My roots with this school run deep, as I grew up running the halls of the NET Preschool while my family and closest family-friends were behind the scenes and on the frontline running it all! Back in 2018, I came here with a love for children that I knew would only grow by working here. After being assistant, lead teacher, and just about everything else you can be here, I am so thankful for the job of serving our families as the Assistant Director. It's going to be a great year!
Delaney Dalton
Administrative Assistant
Hi there! My name is Delaney Dalton and this will be my third year with The NET Preschool, and my first year as a part of the administrative team! I have been married for 5 years to my husband, Blake. We have a 3 year old daughter, Ellie James, and we are expecting our son Langston this Fall! I so enjoy serving you and your sweet kiddos here at the NET and look forward to helping you in any way I can!
Shannon Strauss
Office Manager
Hi, everyone! My name is Shannon Strauss and I'm your token Californian! My husband and I moved our family to Spring Hill after living in Southern California for our whole lives. We have a 5 year old named Riley, and a 3 year old named Dustin. I came to The NET Preschool in April of 2022 as a lead teacher for our 3-4 year olds and immediately fell in love with this place, the staff, and their mission. I am so thankful for this school and I am so excited for all that this year has in store!
Georgia Hernandez
Training Coordinator
My name is Georgia Hernandez and I am The NET Preschool’s Training Coordinator. I have worked for CCMI for 25 years in every capacity with the last 19 years as their preschool director. I retired (or left) that position in May ‘22 to pursue new family adventures. Pouring my heart and experience into our staff to create excellent teachers and help develop their gift is a focused adventure I’m so excited about. I love watching kiddos and teachers find who God made them to be and how they too can impact this world!
Mr. Marc
Front Desk Manager
Mr. Marc has been with the NET for over 10 years, starting out as a front desk substitute. He handles all of our family contracts, billing, and collecting of tuition in addition to maintaining our overall student/family database. He is a retired energy industry engineer and manager from the Carolinas. He was raised in South Florida (which he does NOT miss). If you ask him, he’ll tell you he wishes he had moved to beautiful Tennessee MUCH earlier! He really keeps our ship running!
